Description
From Monday, 28 October, until Friday 15 November, an essential upgrade will take place to the departmental filestore (sometimes referred to as GPFS). Note : this work is continuing from the initial expected end date of Thursday 7 November. During the upgrade, the service will remain accessible but should be considered at risk. A brief outage of approximately two hours is required. ***Update 11 November*** It has been confirmed that an outage of approximately 2 hours will occur between 7:30 am and 9:30 am on the morning of Tuesday 12 November to switch to the new version of the filestore. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience during this brief disruption. This work may affect some (but not all) filestores accessed via: \\ads.bris.ac.uk\filestore \\ads.bris.ac.uk\folders \\ads.bris.ac.uk\servers \\ads.bris.ac.uk\software Please note that a wide range of services use elements of the departmental filestore to perform certain functions.
