Interruption to incoming calls for a range of numbers on the morning of 5 December Planned Maintenance

Description

Virgin Media will no longer support a number of old telephone lines and we need to move the following numbers to a new a cloud-based solution to avoid losing these numbers. The work will take place on the morning of Tuesday 5 December. While the numbers are ported, external incoming calls will not be received. This typically takes one hour but could take up to four hours. Internal calls and outgoing calls are unaffected. In total 5,000 numbers across campus will be ported. The number ranges affected by this change are: - 01179287000 to 01179287199 (200 numbers) - 01179287200 to 01179287999 (800 numbers) - 01179288000 to 01179289999 (2000 numbers) - 01179545000 to 01179545999 (1000 numbers) - 01179546000 to 01179546599 (600 numbers) - 01179546600 to 01179546799 (200 numbers) - 01179546800 to 01179546999 (200 numbers) If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the IT Service Desk, bristol.ac.uk/it-services/contacts (ref: C2304-291)
