Description

Between 6pm and 10pm on the evenings of the 28th/29th September essential maintenance will be performed on the Departmental Filestore (commonly referred to as GPFS). There is a risk of interruption to some services (detailed below) during this work but this will not be prolonged but services listed should be considered at risk. The work has been scheduled during the evening to minimize the impact and it may affect some (but not all) filestores accessed via: \\ads.bris.ac.uk\filestore \\ads.bris.ac.uk\folders \\ads.bris.ac.uk\servers \\ads.bris.ac.uk\software Please note that elements of the departmental filestore are used by a wide range of services to perform certain functions. Elements of business services may be affected and include, but are not limited to, the following: - Temporary Network Storage - Voicemail Service - ZB-ALSPAC filestore - Web departmental ‘media’ folders - Interact - ZD-GELY Geophysics Suite Business 2 - RX-Works - Patient Management System For Veterinary Cases Every effort has been made to find a suitable time to conduct this work. IT staff will be checking services during the work to ensure prompt recovery should any issues arise.
