An important change to how staff, PGR, TSS and students with staff roles will access University data on personal mobile devicesPlanned Maintenance
From Thursday 4 February we will be extending our use of Microsoft Intune to all staff personally owned mobile devices.
From 28 April the same rules will be applied to postgraduate research students, members of the TSS service and students with staff roles that require IT access.
Members of the above groups will need to install an app on their smartphone or tablets and ensure their device is on the latest version of the mobile operating system or latest security patches to be able to access University data through Microsoft 365 applications, for example Outlook, Teams, OneNote etc.
This is part of a programme of necessary steps the University is taking to protect its digital assets and is a requirement of both existing University policy, and external security accreditations which we hold, and underpin the business.
