Work on elements of the network infrastructure to improve and enhance the reliance of service will take place on Monday 29 July and Wednesday 31 July

A significant number of services should be considered at risk with a small number possibly experiencing a brief interruption to service of five to ten minutes during the periods of work. A list of the services at risk include:

- Staff Remote Desktop
- Student Remote Desktop
- Business Intelligence
- MyBristol Portal
- Wiki service
- Web Content Management Systems (Zope / Plone)

- Authentications services (Shibboleth / SSO)
- CareerHub
- ALSPAC Clinic Booking System and data warehouse and catalogue
- UCard (updating access)
- Unit and Programme Management System UPMS
- SDN
- RX-Works

[Update] The update work began at 5pm. Reports of a number of services affected.

[Update] A number of services have been impacted by the update work. In particular, DNS, which has resulted in websites hosted by the University being unavailable.
We are working to resolve the issue.

[Update] Due to the impact of the planned change, the work has been stopped and we are rolling back to the original state. Currently testing services. We hope that all services will be back to normal soon.

[Update] The update has not been applied. We have rolled back to the original state and services should now be back or back shortly.
